What is a CMF Designer?
My master's is in CMF Color material & finish design. And as color as material designers, we do trend research in order to understand the thinking and design of consumer goods and experiences. Understanding this leads to new thinking and new design through colors, materials, and finishes.
How I apply my skills.
As a CMF designer, I have had the honor of working at the interior design firm Marxmoda in Detroit, Michigan as a conceptual designer. My role was to trend research products and to collaborate with other brands in order to give our consumers an experience. I also spent time working as a CMF interior designer for the automotive industry where I developed print, pattern, and color for various OEMs such as Nissan, Ford, Tesla, and General Motors.
